WELCOME TO 4C!!

Hello 4C Families,

Welcome to what is sure to be a great year in 4th grade! We are off and running in 4C! We have spent this week getting to know each other, our class, and all we are going to do this year. There are wonderful privileges, high expectations, and greater responsibility in being the old students in school, and the kids are ready and anxious to get started. Attached is the WE  ARE 4C Volume 1 that students are bringing home today.

Parent Survey
Just as there is so much that the kids are trying to learn about being in 4C, I am trying to learn all about them, too. Please take a moment to answer a short survey about your student. Click here to share with me any information you would like me to know as we begin this school year. Please know that all responses are confidential between yourself and me.

Room Parent
Below is a short note from the OB Room Parent Coordinator, Scottie Eastman. Please contact the school office for more information or to volunteer. Thank you.

Dear parents,
As of right now there is not a room parent for this class.  This is a fun and relatively simple way to make a big impact on your child's year! Please consider signing up.  If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime.

Thank you,
Scottie Eastman
OB Room Parent Coordinator

Planners
As you have seen already, students have planners. (We use to call them assignment books in my day.) Each afternoon students write the assignments that are displayed on the TV into their planners. I initial their planners when they have written down each assignment. Please initial their planners in the evenings when they complete the assignment.

Snacks
We have snack time in the morning and afternoons. As stated in the Old Bonhomme Handbook, "All food items brought as personal classroom snacks or party snacks must be store-bought, packaged, and contain a label listing the ingredients, even if your classroom has no allergy issues." Healthy snacks are best for kids as active as they are. Some examples snacks are fruits, vegetables, applesauce, fruit cups, yogurt, string cheese, seaweed, and popcorn. Besides fruits and vegetables, snacks
